5.8/10

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the location is beautiful and close to Stratford-upon-Avon, the rooms left much to be desired with noise and a lack of air conditioning. The service was friendly, but a bit slow at times. Dining could definitely be improved, as the breakfast management seemed off, which was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was disappointing, located deep within the hotel along what felt like a service road. It was noisy with delivery vehicles and golf buggies passing by. The lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable, and the decor was a bit tired.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly, which I appreciated, but it was also quite slow. I found myself waiting a long time to get my requests fulfilled, and it often felt like I had to chase staff for assistance.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, with easy access to Stratford-upon-Avon and other nearby attractions. It’s in a lovely rural area, which I enjoyed. Just remember to bring trail shoes as the surrounding paths can get muddy.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing, especially at breakfast. I came down at 9:30 AM, and many items had run out or were not fresh, which shouldn't happen so close to the closing time.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered several facilities, but nothing particularly stood out to me as impressive. It felt like the amenities could use an upgrade to match the expected standards.

I found the hotel to be in a beautiful area, perfect for exploring Stratford on Avon. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though they seemed a bit overwhelmed. However, the rooms could definitely use a good cleaning, and the dining experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the price. Overall, it offers a peaceful retreat, but it's not ideal for everyone.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were miles away from everything which made them quiet, but they had two doors to other rooms that let a lot of noise in. The cleanliness left much to be desired as the bins weren't emptied during our stay.
Service
8.0
The service was commendable, with staff doing their best to stay upbeat and helpful despite being overwhelmed during a busy weekend. They knew their trade well, which was nice to see.
Location
9.0
The location is truly beautiful, just five minutes from the center of Stratford on Avon, making it a great base for exploring the area.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was absolutely shocking for the price we paid. The breakfast was self-service with a poor selection of overcooked food, and I was left waiting too long for basic items like hash browns.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed to be present but need lots of work, especially the dining options.

The hotel has a lovely garden view and is conveniently located near Stratford, which is really nice for a peaceful stay. However, the rooms feel quite dated and need some cleanliness improvements. The service was excellent, though the dining aspect left much to be desired with limited choices.

Rooms
5.0
The room had a beautiful view of the gardens, but it was quite dated and not very clean in some areas. It felt freezingly cold and uninviting, but it was spacious enough for our family.
Service

Service was pretty good overall, with friendly and helpful staff. I did have a little trouble filling out some forms, but the staff were excellent and made up for it with their great attitude.
Location
9.0
I loved the location, as it was laid out nicely with loungers and had a relaxing vibe. It’s just a 20-minute walk to Maidenhead Road, which is a plus.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a bit of a letdown. The food quality was average, and there weren’t many choices. A little too chaotic for my taste, especially with dogs being fed by their owners around.
Facilities

The hotel has a lot of potential with its beautiful views and high standards, but my stay was marred by some outdated rooms and service issues. While the gardens are stunning and worth admiring, the dining wasn’t up to par and the conditions in the spa area could pose safety concerns. Overall, I appreciated the helpfulness of some staff, but the discomfort of the room and dining left me a bit disappointed.

Rooms

Location
8.0
The location was lovely and quiet, but it was slightly out of the way, not exactly bustling, which some might find appealing. The hotel is in a historic building, adding some charm to the stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining was quite disappointing; the breakfast was cold and of poor quality. It was buffet style but seemed to have reduced in quality since my last visit.
Facilities
5.0
The spa area had lots of loose tiles that posed a potential safety risk, which was concerning. Other than that, the hotel had good amenities but needs some upkeep.

The hotel is quite grand upon arrival, but I was a bit let down with my room being located towards the basement—it didn't match the hotel's impressive exterior. The rooms are cozy, albeit a bit too warm even with the fan running all night. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and helpful, but it did feel like they were a bit short-staffed at times. Overall, a decent experience, but something to be aware of if you're particular about room location.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is beautifully set in a serene location just outside Stratford. The rooms were tidy and featured a very comfortable bed, although they weren't cleaned daily, which was a minor downside. The service was mostly excellent, with friendly and professional staff, but there were some inconsistencies, especially with the upkeep of furniture in the room. The dining experience could use some improvements, but overall, it's a decent value for the stunning setting and location near key attractions.

However, the rooms left a lot to be desired, with a musty smell and being uncomfortably hot upon arrival. The hotel has a charming location with nature walks nearby and is just a short drive from Stratford town. The rooms are stunning, particularly the Countess suite with its luxurious four-poster bed and large bathtub, but the service fell short due to some mistakes in orders. The dining options were decent, yet I felt the breakfast could use improvement. Overall, it's a great place but some areas need attention.

However, the furniture was quite outdated, which detracted from the overall experience. The service was friendly but hindered by long wait times during check-in. The location was decent, providing some lovely scenery but also proximity to areas that weren’t ideal. Overall, the value for money was questionable given the issues I encountered.
